Class warfare

McCain said something that I've been screaming about for years: CLASS WARFARE. For years the democrats go on about tax cuts for the rich while the middle class gets the shaft. As a tax accountant I know that's all bullshit. If a business makes a single dollar it pays a third of it in taxes, and rich people pay close to 50% in taxes. These are the the employers in this country. Free up some of their money and they can spend more on more jobs and purchases. Both are good for the economy.

If you can dig out the tax tables, everyone across the board is paying less taxes now than I have seen the entire time I've been in accounting.

My boss was quoted on the news once for saying, "95% of the taxes paid in are from the top 5% income earners," and that's the truth. Don't fall for the smokescreen. The rich are definitely paying their fair share. Don't fall for the class warfare stunt.
