In the cinema: Friday the 13th

This is another old horror franchise being brought back to life and touched up with modern technology and new limits of allowable film gore.

Essentially, you were given the genesis of the deranged killer Jason as depicted in the original three movies (even the part about his mother) compressed into this 90 minute movie.

It's your usual combination of over-sexed teens, drugs, stupidty, gore, mutilation, and creative murder. I wouldn't say that there was anything about this movie that should make it stand out over the other Fridat the 13th films except the production value. It generally seemed more real which did make it much more terrifying than before.

I'm going to say this movie was rpetty good and definitely worth watching if you are a fan of horror and / or the franchise. It was vile enough to make you cringe in your seat and continue to send a shiver down your spine for hours afterward. Check it out!!

My wife loves the stuff even though it scares the crap out of her. Jason is really much more brutal in this movie than ever before.
