In Print: Terminator: Salvation Movie Prequel

This is yet ANOTHER Terminator: Salvation Movie Prequel. When it hit pre-order on Amazon I had many questions. What is this? Why is there ANOTHER prequel? With few details besides the title and the author being Dara Naraghi, I took a stab and ordered it. It arrived last week and it turned out to be a graphic novel illustrated by Alan Robinson. In other words, it's an expensive comic book.

I'm not a comic snob. I collected comics for many years of my life but I don't read them too often anymore. I can pound through a graphic novel in a single night and it's usually a let down to me. But I put that aside for the Terminator.

This is a 100+ page book about a couple of coordinated strategic attacks by the resistance against important Skynet resources. The problem is that rather than developing a good story and using great artwork to show it, they instead spend a lot of time making things go KA-BOOM with mediocre illustrations and colors. From what I understand, you don't need to read this for any extra understanding of the forthcoming movie. However, there is a 20 page teaser at the end of teh book. That much is very well drawn and very worthwhile to read. But in all, I'd say you should save your money.

It's available on
Amazon now.
