When Mrs. Bax0jayz wanted to see a movie and was willing to see Wolverine, I jumped on the chance. As implied by the name, this movie is an X-Men prequel centering around the character Wolverine.
It wasn't a stretch for the studio to go down this path. The previous three X-Men movies pretty much revolved around Wolverine anyway. So this time they really threw the fans of this comic character a bone and went all the way back into the history, the origin of Wolverine and how he's always been tied in with the Marvel universe.
Make no mistakes, this is a summer movie. There's lots of action. Explosions. Blood. Guts. Violence. If you're looking for an intellectual time, pass on this. But if you want nearly two of testosterone charged fun, then this is for you. Hugh Jackman is great reprising his role as Wolverine. The rest of the cast around him were well selected.
What else is there to say? It was fun from start to end and I do mean end. You better not leave the theater before the lights go on. You'll miss the "extra endings" which both add extra closure and openings for possible sequel.
If you were planning on passing on this film because you saw the infamous bootleg, go see it in the theater. You're really missing out. And teh wife even liked it, so how bad can it be?
