Brüno is the third and last character from Sacha Baron Cohen's Da Ali G Show to get a movie. Bruno is an Austrian fashionista looking for world fame while being very gay.
Like the way Borat exposed anti-semitism, Bruno exposes homophobia across the land. Apparently he conducted his very candid interviews and "experiments" and then sewed them together with a funny and very scripted storyline.
The trick with this movie is that it's very polarizing. People either liked it a lot, or hated it a lot. While we sat several people got up and walked out. The gay antics and copious amounts of penis on the screen seemed to put off several movie-goers. But of those who stuck it out, you usually heard big laughs during the film. Of course after the movie you heard voices asking how they endured such nonsense.
I found this to be a very funny movie. I think Cohen did a great job transforming his least interesting character into a hilarious movie.
If you can't stomach gays, you won't be able to handle this movie. But if you like dick-jokes, gay humor, or just watching human behavior, this movie should hold your attention.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but I really don't like this guy. I saw "Borat", and hell - I TRIED to laugh, and couldn't make myself.
I do like the fact that he keeps fooling the "religious powers that be" in Alabama for some of his movie clips, though.
I'll admit, Cohen's brand of humor isn't for everyone. I never got the hand of his main character Ali G. I thought Borat was funny, but mainly because he reminded of my in-laws and their broken English. With the amount of cock-time on the screen, it might be difficult to swallow Bruno.
Ha ! You said "cock-time" and "swallow" !!!
LOL. I think that was my intention!
