On CD: ZYDECO ALL NIGHT by Zydecosis

I've been getting CDs in the mail from a lot of bands over the last weeks. I will be discussing them every chance I get. I will start today with ZYDECO ALL NIGHT by ZYDECOSIS.

The first time I posted a release for this band, I wanted to know more about them. When you see a band photo and everyone in it looks like they are having a good time for teh shoot, it makes me wonder if teh music is just as happy. The second I popped the disc in the player I could tell the music matches the band: happy and upbeat.

I don't know how to describe teh sound since I never heard of "Zydeco" before but I'll do my best. This CD is a collection of classic rock covers, but they sound like a hybrid of ska and polka. As you can imagine it's all upbeat and very cheerful and teh choice of songs for this style is PERFECT.

The playlist:
  1. Whole Lotta Love
  2. Talk Dirty to Me
  3. Walk This Way
  4. Satisfaction
  5. Fat Bottomed Girls
  6. Baba O'Riley
  7. I Want You to Want Me
  8. Paranoid
  9. Some Kind of Wonderful
  10. Feel Like Making Love
I loved this album. It was a ton of fun to listen to and highly recommend it to anyone who can appreciate some great music with awesome accordions in it. I liked it so much that I hope they do another album like this including some of these songs: Roundabout, Barracuda, Radar Love, Rebel Rebel, Burning Down the House, Locomotive Breath, Blasphemous Rumors, Where the Streets Have No Name. If they did that, it would be beyond awesome.
