MAMMUT on European Tour November 2009

From the Mammut Newsletter:

1. Earlier this month we played at the Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavík. As usual we had LOADS of fun. Here's a review we got for our main concert at the festival:

"Anatomy of a great song: The elements are all in place; adventurous,cyclical drums, the random, innocently intertwining guitars, and themassive centrepiece of it all: those stunning, soul-searing,heart-puncturing vocals, almost feral in their audacity and hunger... Mammút 'sRauðilækur is a great song, the best Icelandic rock song for years, andseeing it live is something I feel I might tell my grandchildren I didwhen trying to prove to them I used to be cool. It’s the kind ofbrilliant little song that happens by accident, amateurs stumbling uponthe set of hooks and chord progressions so often used, that reusingthem isn’t plagiarism, it’s daring."

Since the last newsletter we have been playing a lot in Iceland and also went on a short trip to Stockholm, where we played in Kulturhuset. It was a great appertizer for the Europe Tour.
