NOT good for business

I was walking to a client recently and noticed a man standing on a corner looking around at passers-by intently. As I approached him he locked in on me with his gaze and when i got close enough made a sudden move. I started, then quickly recovered. It seemed he was handing out flyers of some sort. I took one.

From that moment I already felt that his method wasn't great for business, scaring people into taking his cards, but then I looked at what he was handing out. I was holding a business card for a barber shop. It listed the fees on one side, which were all about 50% higher than in my neighborhood. Oh well, not going.

Looked to the back of the flyer, a calender and some pics of various haircuts. Every cut is one that would get you a beating the moment you set foot out of the shop. Not useful.

Maybe I can use the calender? Not even. It's for 2009. What gives? How do they expect to generate business that way?
