This record came across my desk recently. From Denver, CO comes Maree McRae with her brand of soothing music. She's characterized as Pop, Americana, Folk, Adult Contemporary, but I'd say she's a charming fusion of country and folk.
The album, Urgency, is really a misnomer. You don't feel Urgency listening to this. You feel contentment. You feel relaxed. You feel in tune with the finer parts of life. The songs are well put together and nicely polished. The guitars are in the forefront with Maree's vocals and leveled nicely. I wished the drums had a little more variation in sound and production, but that's just the drummer in me speaking. Definitely a fine record!
