Underworld 4 release date: September 23, 2011

The fourth film in the Underworld series is to released by Sony's Screen Gems on September 23, 2011, later than its previous date of January 21 that year.

Box Office Mojo says the film is 'no longer in 3D' which begs the question of why its release is being delayed.

Len Wiseman, who directed the first two films in the series, is apparently returning to take the helm on Underworld 4, although Kate Beckinsale previously expressed reluctance at putting on the latex suit again.
