Preview: Rumi Music

I had the chance to preview most of the tracks for the forthcoming album from Rumi Music, aka Lee Abramson. I thought I would share my thoughts on what's been compiled so far.

Lee Abramson was the bassist for the band Punchy until he was diagnosed with ALS. A good musician never says die, so Lee changed direction. Using software he compiled a piano-rock album a couple years ago under teh brilliant name ACE NOFACE which I repviously reviewed. His latest endeavor is some down-beat electronic music under the name Rumi Music.

My readers will note that Rumi Music and Lee Abramson have both been featured prominently lately. But this is no fluff piece or press release. Rumi Music is complex multifaceted music. It's closest, in my view, to New Age music. It's layered with all kinds of sounds, pads, synths and delicious vocals. Lee did a good job finding the right singer for this project! She definitely adds a feel like Ric or Delirium to the tracks.

All in all I catch a Enya like vibe from the music whish is altogether pleasant to listen to. The trippy vids add to the experience of the music. Worth giving a listen to!
