Car bomb investigation in NYC continues

At this point the Police are out in force trying to solve the case. They were able to quickly track down the stolen plate to a scrap yard in Connecticut. Next they tracked down the owner of the truck with the VIN tags removed. Neither person is considered a suspect at this time, but it goes to show you, it's pretty hard to cover your tracks when you're trying to pull off something as evil as setting off a car bomb in Times Square, NYC.

One of the theories is that this might've been in retaliation for a recent episode of South Park that showed a an image of what the Prophet Mohammed looked like. The truck was left in front of the Viacom Building which houses Comedy Central, the station that airs South Park.

The claims of responsibility from a Pakistani Taliban group have been largely disregarded as they seem to have no known chatter on the matter.
