Corning is ahead of the times with a glass discovery in 1962

This has been in the news for a couple days now, but I wanted to comment on it. Back in the 1960s Corning invented a super strong kind of glass that it hoped would become a cash crop, but it fizzled. Now with so many devices with touchscreens and frameless televisions, the "gorilla glass" (as Corning has called it) has found it's calling. It amazes me how products are invented for one purpose but fin service as something completely unrelated. Amazing! I tip my hat to Corning for having the foresight to create such a product! So does my mom. It might be some sort of conspiracy. Hmmm...
