Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" A Cappella & "Edge of Glory"

HBO debuted the concert event "Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden" this weekend, showcasing the 120 minutes of musical and visual brilliance witnessed by 2.5 million concert-goers since November 2009 at over 200 performances worldwide.

One of the most talked-about moments of the special was Gaga's soulful backstage a cappella rendition of "Born This Way," which kept superfans, casual viewers, and everyone in between glued to their screens during the closing credits.

Lady Gaga is set to release "The Edge of Glory" today at 1pm PT / 4pm ET, kicking off iTunes' "Countdown to Born This Way" promotion leading up to the album's 5/23 release.

"The Edge of Glory," which features E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons, was inspired by the death of Gaga's grandfather in late 2010. In her interview for Musicians@Google Presents: Google Goes Gaga, Gaga explained that the song is "about your last moment on earth, the moment of truth, the moment before you leave earth."
