Review Tuesday: In the cinema - Bad Teacher

There's nothing like a good, raunchy, adult comedy. When the trailers for BAD TEACHER hit the screens, it caught my attention right away.

Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) is a BAD TEACHER. She is really in search of some sugar daddy who will bankroll her selfish needs. But when her charms fail her, she leaves no stone unturned so she may afford a new weapon for her arsenal - a pair of big fake boobs. The movie is about her adventures as she tries to gather the money so she can buy the bigger bosom, and how teaching the children, in a way, teaches her a life lesson about being a shallow bitch.

The concept is ridiculous, but this is a raunchy comedy, so it works. The cast isn't good. It's BRILLIANT. Everyone does their job perfectly. There are a lot of laughs, and a lot of douche-shudders. But it's all necessary to drive the point home. This is an adult comedy. There are curses. There are adult situations. There's really bizarre sex acts. And it's all perfectly in line with the concept of the movie, nothing is gratuitous.

Definitely a funny movie if you have a sense of humor. There are several mirthless ogres out there who found this movie unworthy of their time, but they all need an attitude adjustment. Or maybe they see a little too much of Elizabeth Halsey in themselves.

Check out this movie if you need some comedy in your life.
