MONDAY, OCTOBER 17 & TUESDAY 18 FOR THE THIRD AND FINAL PAIR OF UNIQUE LAUNCH SHOWS PARTNERED WITH CITI

TO LAUNCH THE GREAT ESCAPE ARTIST

NEW ALBUM IN STORES TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18

After an incredible response to their first set of special "small club" launch shows in Chicago this past weekend, and with high anticipation for next week's upcoming shows in Los Angeles October 3 & 4—both cities of which sold out within minutes of their on sales--JANE’S ADDICTION has announced today details for their upcoming New York City engagements. They will perform Monday, October 17 and Tuesday, October 18, at Irving Plaza as part of their third and final pair of shows with Citi to mark the release of their newest offering THE GREAT ESCAPE ARTIST which will be released that week (October 18).

These dates for JANE’S ADDICTION-- frontman Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins, along with Chris Chaney on bass—are a part of a one-of-a-kind series of two-night stands that will also take place in Chicago at the Metro (where they initially launched Nothing’s Shocking with two sold-out shows in 1988) and Hollywood’s John Anson Ford Theatre in Los Angeles where they completed a series of sold out shows in 1989.

Citi® cardmembers will have access to presale tickets for the New York shows beginning Tuesday, September 27 at 10:00 am eastern time through Citi's Private Pass® Program. For complete presale details visit http://www.citiprivatepass.com/. Tickets go on sale for the New York Irving Plaza shows on Saturday, October 1. JANE’S ADDICTION will also team with Citi to offer Citi cardmembers exclusive VIP packages, custom launch show merchandise and unique opportunities to interact with the band.

Meanwhile, “Irresistible Force,” the band’s first single from THE GREAT ESCAPE ARTIST is breaking records on Billboard’s Alternative Radio Airplay Chart as it ascends into the Top 10, marking their fifth overall. States Billboard in its 9/17 issue, “The band first ranked in the top tier the week of Oct. 29, 1988, when “Jane Says” shot 24-9 on its way to a No. 6 peak. The group’s span of ranking in the top 10--22 years, 10 months and three weeks—is the longest in the chart’s history.” “Irresistible Force” continues to gather acclaim ahead of the album’s release.
