John Herbert Frid (December 2, 1924 – April 14, 2012) was a Canadian theater, television, and film actor, best known for having played the role of vampire Barnabas Collins on the gothic television soap opera Dark Shadows. He died from natural causes at the age of 87.More:

That show used to scare the hades rail out of me as a kid.
I don't think I ever got to see that show, but I was having lunch with friends yesterday adn this dude came up. I was wondering if he died from shock because someone remembered his career, but he actually died a week ago and they only press released the news today.
