Review Tuesday: The Prometheus Deception by Robert Ludlum

The great conspiracy writer, Robert Ludlum, always remained on top of his craft right up until the end. It appears that one of his last books written before he died was THE PROMETHEUS DECEPTION which dealt with privacy issues in a technologically advanced world, which is a theme that's still relevant today.

Nick was an agent for the ultra-super-secret spy organization the Directorate. He was retired when he seemed to be slipping. After five years he's dragged back into the cloak and dagger game by the CIA on the premise of being deceived by his former employers. While Nick is out looking for the truth his life becomes a series of twists and turns and he can't be sure what's real.

The underlying issue is global privacy. Multinational conglomerates are busy sucking up assets all over, essentially, to develop a worldwide electronic spy agency to replace all governments and police agencies.

After a long roller coaster ride that brought our main character around the world, the book is summed up in a startling ending, which is par for the course when reading Ludlum.

The book is smart, fast paced, and easy to follow. Not too profound, but Ludlum never "dumbs it down." A good book. Find it HERE and read it!
