NYC Singer-Songwriter Tess Druckenmiller Featured on iTunes!

Born and raised in New York City, Tess began playing the piano at the age of five, and shortly after began voice and guitar lessons. She transitioned from classical roots to songwriting after being encouraged by Bill Riley, her renowned music and vocal instructor. Tess' musical inspirations include Vanessa Carlton and Sara Bareilles and she draws upon her personal experiences when writing. Tess writes about relationships, friendships, and experiences many girls have growing up. "...my songs are essentially stories, the majority of which are non-fiction."

Tess attended The Spence School, where she was a member of the A Capella group "Triple Trio" and co-chaired the group during her senior year. In the summers between her sophomore and senior years, Tess attended the Berklee Five-Week Summer Performance Program in Boston. In her second year, she was one of a selected few chosen to perform in the Singer/Songwriter Showcase at the acclaimed Berklee Performance Center. Most recently, Tess has performed at the Bitter End and Joe's Pub in New York and her music is now being used therapeutically to help treat depression in young adults.

While continuing her studies at Brown, Tess completed her debut live album recording "Storyteller", produced by 2012 Grammy nominee Peter Calo and 3x Grammy winner Tony Prendatt-Carter. The album will be released later this year. Tess' debut retail-promo double single, "Jones" and "November" will be released April 2, 2013.
