Alien3 Screenplay by John Fasano

This is a, very much, less cool  find. While looking for the alternate Alien 3 script I came across this one. This was the first draft for the movie that ended up on the big screen.

Alien stow-aways cause the survivors of the previous movie to crash onto a religious prison colony. Death and destruction are immediately unleashed in the peaceful and backward outpost.

Well, that kinda sums it up. It's very similar to the version of Alien 3 that hit the screens, but it's really heavily into the religious nature of the colony. This alien was born from a sheep, so it's actually woolly yet has chameleon-like capabilities.

The drag is the whole place. The entire concept just seemed incredibly dumb. That must be why they worked on it as much as they did. With all the evolution, it still wasn't great. In addition, the much talked about "Ripley getting raped scene" actually exists in this iteration, but was lost in the film adaptation.

I'd have to say this draft was just as bad as what hit the screen, but it might be worth your while to see how much more involved the story was originally and how much retooling it went through. There was a new layer of perfidy at the hands of The Company that we hadn't seen previously.
