MONSTERS UNIVERSITY held firmly to the #1 spot for the second week in a row despite a precipitous drop in ticket sales. New offering THE HEAT, starring Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock, brought in $40 mill for an impressive #2 spot. The other new flick for the weekend was Jamie Fox and Channing Tatum's WHITE HOUSE DOWN which might have had audiences asking, "didn't this movie come out already?" Thinking of OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN, they'd be right. So it tanked with just under $26 mill. I went to see the #5 movie, MAN OF STEEL yesterday. Review should be up for REVIEW TUESDAY this week.
