  • The transposition of usually initial sounds in a pair of words.
Spoonerism comes from the name of the Rev. William Archibald Spooner (1844-1930), a kindly but nervous Anglican clergyman and educationalist. All the above examples were committed by (or attributed to) him.

  • The term used for the collection of people, on your Facebook friends list, that you dont actually talk to or know in real life. Related to popular TV program and game pokemon, where the aim is to collect as many different Pocket Monsters as possible.
