Review Tuesaday: BLACK FRIDAY by Alex Kava (2010)

BLACK FRIDAY
by Alex Kava
When unwitting suicide bombers go off in America's biggest mall, it may have exposed a much deeper conspiracy.
This book is part of Kava's Maggie O'Dell series. The gutsy FBI profiler has something to prove to her new boss who holds her responsible for the ebola death of his predecessor. Perfect timing. On Black Friday, what was supposed to be an episode of electronic chaos for business in the Mall of America perpetrated by some college kids being controlled by The Project Manager, turned out to be a bombing.

The book is a series of clever twists and turns until the ending.  The chapters are pretty short, which has you turning the pages faster. The pace is steady. The course is unpredictable. There is a very interesting subplot regarding American security (or lack thereof) and a link to the Oklahoma City bombing.

Fun book, and well worth reading. I really like Kava's style.
