Review Tuesday - Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

I finally got around to see the first big blockbuster of the summer of '15.

Avengers:
Age of Ultron
When a program for world safety called ULTRON goes wrong, it's up to The Avengers to stop it before all life on the planet Earth is destroyed.
I have to say that I have always been a fan of the Marvel Universe. The heroes have always seemed less like Boy Scouts, and more rough around the edges. Then add the way the studios add a darker flavor to these concepts and comic book movies can be taken seriously.

This movie does just that. You have the grittiness. Sarcasm. You get to be there for the highs and the lows. Rather than being goofy like the 60s Batman television show, you have something about as close to real life as comic books can feel. I'm not saying that you don't need to suspend belief. I mean, for instance, how the hell did Nick Fury keep a helipad ready to roll at a moments notice???

That aside, I found the movie to have some amazing special effects, great action sequences, enough character development, well cast, and completely entertaining. Definitely earned it's spot in this year's list of blockbusters.
