1. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation $29.4M 
2. Fantastic Four $26.2M 
3. The Gift $12.0M 
4. Vacation $9.1M 
5. Ant-Man $7.8M

Despite all the horrid reviews, Fantastic Four just missed the #1 spot by about $3 mill. Considering how strong Mission Impossible opened at a week ago, I was expecting a real slaughter.That's not to say it did well by any stretch of the imagination. The studio should just give up on that franchise already. They can't figure out how to make it good. 

I feel that if they couldn't get this to bring bodies into the theater:

Then they need to put this franchise to rest.
