I'm surprised by everything this weekend. It seems that no one wants to see Jason Bateman's thriller, THE GIFT. He's had a charmed life and I was expecting this move to do better than $6.5 mill but since it had a budget of $5 mill, I suppose it did fine. 

The cinematic adaptation of the 1960's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. looked well cast to me, but seems that no one was interested. $13.5 mill in ticket sales falls far short of the $75 mill it cost to make.   

Mission Impossible was knocked down to the #3 spot by the NWA biopic, Straight Outta Compton. I didn't see that one coming!
