Swedish Sensations Movits! Announce U.S. Tour In Support Of Upcoming Album To Be Released On October 30th

On October 30, 2015, the Swedish group Movits! will release their fourth album entitled They Tried To Bury Us, They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds and will embark on their U.S. tour in support of the release. The CD features energetic hip-hop and Johan’s cunning lyrics spiced with melodic horns.

The first single “Dansa I Regnet,” definitely sets the tone for a new era of Movits! music. Reflecting on the single, Movits! members comment, “ ‘Dansa I Regnetis’ is the type of song you hear in your head when your clothes are all wet and you decide F**k it, let’s go! It’s us against the system and we ain’t taking no for an answer no more. March in the streets and dance in the rain!”

Almost two years ago Movits! surpassed themselves with their third album Head Amongst The Clouds which features their contemporary classic “Limousin ft. Maskinen” which has been streamed over 10 million times. Other notable songs from the album include their poetic masterpiece “Halvvägs ft. Zacke” and their spring hit single “Nitroglycerin.”

The consistency of Movits! is remarkable and it has been a steady evolution of sound along the way. The group debuted with their iTunes top charting album “Äppelknyckarjazz” in 2008 and have released an album every other year since then.

Reflecting on their new release, the Movits! comment: “If Äppelknyckarjazz was our swing era and Skjut Mig I Huvet was the 60’s soul album, then our last album took us through the 70’s psychedelic rock and hippie movement. For our new album, you could probably say that a lot of the inspiration has come from the sound of the 80’s. There are definitely more synthesizers and wet saxophone solos on this album. It’s not another Äppelknyckarjazz. That album has already been made, it’s out there for us to enjoy. This is something new. This is what Movits! is and sounds like in 2015.”
