Not a complete surprise here. I don't think anyone had any doubt that Wonder Woman was going to do well, but the margin was really pretty exceptional. Over $100 mill for a female superhero opening seems to be a new record. Captain Underpants edged out [Butt]Pirates of the Caribbean. ALIEN was shoved out of the top five. Why did people go to see Wonder Woman?  More than likely they were just going in to see the lovely Gal Gadot in the Wonder Woman costume. At 5' 10" that's a good amount of woman!
