The end of the human life on Earth from various points of view
Imagine an invisible "bubble" spreading across the planet at a leisurely pace, painfully destroying all human life as it sweeps along. ONLY HUMAN LIFE, in a painful, not-so-quick, deterioration of the flesh. YEAH. HARSH!!! When I read this description, I wanted to read this book, and when I was offered a free copy in exchange for my honest review, I couldn't wait to volunteer.
As horrific as this concept is, the story is even more brutal as the author develops characters to tell their points of view about the PACE oncoming FRONT and how exactly they meet their ends. Mostly. You must assume some characters meet their demise "off-screen" but with the final couple of chapters I was left wondering if there is a follow up planned? Apparently someone WITNESSED the very beginning of the FRONT, and someone else may have found a way to defeat it. What was this start? Biblical? Human error? ALIENS? Need to know!
The pace is nerve rattling as the cruel tale is told. It's fairly long and as slow reader it took me while to get through it all. But it was worth the time invested because I was left wanting MORE when I got to the end. An egregiously terrifying apocalyptic horror novel that will draw you in, if you like such things. Apparently, I DO!
