The Ethereal Squadron is dispatched to Russia to prevent the Central Powers from stealing the bloodlines of Russian sorcerers.
What if wars weren't merely the product of men, but of great sorcerers with fantastic abilities? I had read the previous book in the series for free in exchange for me honest review and loved it so much I PAID for this book to continue reading about the adventures of the Ethereal Squadron.
Set in 1917, the team is dispatched to the Russian Empire to save magical families from the continuing blood-lust of the Central powers. If you have some historical background, you'd know that this was the time of the Bolshevik Revolution, which plays a central part in this story.
This isn't a short story. It's a fully thought out and well written page-turner. The character development is beyond excellent. The concepts are terrifying. The pages seem to fly by as you are drawn into the story and learnt o care about the characters like they are your own team-mates.
The attention to detail is exquisite as you go on this hellish magical journey into WW1.
I loved this book and recommend it to anyone who is considering giving it a try.
