I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 2

When a woman is looking for a good deal on her modeling portfolio, she gets more than she bargained for.

WHY!  

Why? 

After Mrs. Baxojayz and I saw the first movie in this franchise, we agreed we WOULD NOT see any others. So, despite how disturbing the first one was, I was shocked to sit down and find that the wife selected I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 2 UNRATED VERSION for date night horror viewing.

Horror is an understatement. A beautiful young waitress in NYC aspiring for a greater career was told by her agent she needed to upgrade her portfolio. That would likely cost thousands. The youngster found a phone number for a photographer who claimed to take free photos and set up an appointment. It seemed to start well enough, but when he suggested she try to be sexier, her refusal sent her down an unimaginable path. The photographer's brother had taken a liking to her. He even dropped off a thumb drive with her photos. Seemed nice enough -- for a guy with some obvious disability. But he wanted more. The rape scene was horrific. But in doing so, this guy murdered the building's super. Now there was a HUGE problem. The three brothers had to FIX the situation. The girl was drugged and awoke chained to a pole in a basement in Bulgaria. From there, things continued along a downward spiral. This movie was even harder to handle than the first in some ways. The horrors and violence were unspeakable. The girl screams herself HOARSE in this movie. She's very convincing. However when she got her revenge, the violence was over the top and almost cartoonish. While the violence she inflicts on her tormentors is appropriate in scale, none if it made you cringe quite the same way. Maybe it was because they EARNED their violence. Maybe.

By the way, it's not the same girl from the first movie. 

Regardless, this was difficult to take. If you enjoy violence-porn, this might be your speed. If not, this is not fun to watch.
