Review Tuesday: We're the Millers (2013)

We're the Millers
When a low level drug dealer gets robbed, he has to do something drastic to make it up. Mayhem ensues.
During tax season, we were burning out on bad horror movies. So I suggested a silly comedy. Since WE'RE THE MILLERS came highly recommended by friends, and we hadn't seen it previously, Mrs Baxojayz agreed.

Jason Sudeikis plays David Clark, the guy who was the pot-dealer in college who never grew up. His existence continues by supplying weed to the neighborhood. Unfortunately, he has a run-in with the wrong guys and they end up robbing him, taking his cash and stash. Of course, his supplier, Brad (expertly played by Ed Helms) want payment, not excuses. So he offers David one way out, run a load of drugs out of Mexico into the USA and he'd be off the hook.

In order to make this work, David realizes he can't go alone. He has to seem safe. What would be safe? Enlist a family! He hires stripper Rose O'Reilly (Jennifer Aniston) to play his wife, and Kenny and casey to be their kids (Will Poulter and Emma Roberts).

The entire journey is ridiculous and hilarious. We had low expectation and this blew our minds with how funny it got. Honestly, anything with Jason Sedeikis in it can be iffy. HALL PASS was awful, and has made us weary of anything he is a part of. But this movie certainly changed our minds.

A lot of fun!
