Review Tuesday: The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The Nightmare Before Christmas
(1993)
When Halloween tries to put on Christmas.
This is a movie I have been trying to get around to seeing FOR YEARS. Despite the fact that Mrs Baxojayz and I have seen of Tim Burton's films, she has never had any interest in seeing this movie... UNTIL THIS YEAR!

Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King and you host for all that is spooky for Halloween. But he's done it over and over and over. He's bored. He wants to try something different, something NEW. That was when he lost his way from Halloween and ended up in Christmas. He was spellbound! The magic of Christmas was with him! With a renewed energy, the cast and players of all that goes bump in the night for Halloween were going to bring their version of  Christmas to the world!

The movie is lighthearted and adorable. It's quick, coming in at around one and a quarter hours. If you haven't seen this, yet, regardless of age. I would highly recommend it, especially if you love Halloween. But that begs the question, Is this a Halloween movie, or a Christmas movie? In my opinion, it's BOTH!
