Review Tuesday: Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor
Love and Thunder
2022
When the Gods turn their BAX on one civilization a man goes on a God killing spree.
This was a movie that wasn't on my watch list but ended up as another friend viewing. It has Christian Bale and Natalie Portman in it, so why not?

Christian Bale plays Gorr. His planet is ravaged and he pleads to his God to save his daughter. The God couldn't care less and does nothing. When the daughter dies Gorr gets his hands on an enchanted weapon and he goes on a God killing spree. Thor's job is to stop him, before too many innocent Gods get killed by this menace. Along the way he meets up with his ex-girlfriend who is not MIGHTY THOR, or rather a Lady Thor. As you would expect everyone immediately likes Mighty Thor better than old Thor because she has girl-power!

This movie is mediocre at best. It seems to drag and dawdle. I feel like we have too much or Mighty Thor and the children and not enough Gorr and Thor. While I liked the light-hearted feel of Ragnarok, this one was too over the top for a stuffy character like Thor. Plus the final battle of children kicking the crap out of Gorr's minions was the final straw. It was plain stupid.

I am not sure if this was the worst Marvel movie I have ever seen, but it's in that realm. Pretty bad.
