triskaidekaphobia \ tris-kahy-dek-uh-FOH-bee-uh, tris-kuh- \ , noun;
  • fear or a phobia concerning the number 13. 
Origin: Triskaidekaphobia derives from the Greek word for thirteen, triskaídeka and the Greek word for fear, phobos . It entered English in the early 1900s.



crucible \KROO-suh-buhl\, noun:
  1. A severe, searching test or trial.
  2. A container of metal or refractory material employed for heating substances to high temperatures.
  3. Metallurgy. A hollow area at the bottom of a furnace in which the metal collects.
Crucible stems from the Old French word croisol which referred to a night lamp.

  • Pounds or fat, (lb) is the symbol for pounds.
You could tell she put on some Lb's since summer.

  • Friday the 13th: No one really knows the origin of the superstition about Friday the 13th, although in Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code, he suggested that it started with the arrest of the Knights Templar on Friday, October 13, 1307.
