When a single mom with two kids settle inter her late father's home, they discover his legacy.

How did this happen? I thought that I had already reviewed this movie, but apparently not. This was another one of those movies that I had spoken to my BFF about and she decided we should watch it. 

 

A bitter and cynical single mother of two is forced to move into the home of her late father. Callie (Carrie Coon) with her teen son Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and younger daughter Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) try to start up a new life while picking up the pieces of their previous one. Of course, things start happening and the kids discover their family legacy: their grandfather was Egon Spangler and she sacrificed his family life to protect the world from an undead menace. 

 

After the very forgettable and unbelievably awful Ghostbusters 2016, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a heartwarming return to the source material. Pretty much ALL of the original characters return in some capacity. The only bummer is that Paul Rudd is in it, at least he's not too obnoxious.

 

Final verdict? A lot of fun and well worth your time to watch.
