Review Tuesday: ATLAS - 2024

A team goes after a rogue android that wants to destroy all humans. 

JLo is infamous for being in bad films, so anytime I hear about anything that she's in, I have little to no interest. However, my BFF wanted to watch this, and I needed something to drone in the background while I was working during tax season. 

 

After Atlas (JLo) interrogates a robot, humans finally have a lead on the location of the leader of the robot uprising. A crack team of seasoned soldier is assembled and deployed to assault the stronghold and put an end to their plans. 

 

Of course, the drop ship gets hit by the robots first and the soldiers were all wiped out. Somehow ATLAS, who has never piloted one of the mechs used for this attack is the sole survivor cuz she's a girl-boss! And she goes on, goes face to face with the enemy, destroys everything and saves the day because she's the bestest EVAR!

 

The special effects and the mechs were pretty cool, but this entire movie was so predictable that I found myself grimacing A LOT. It has its moments, but don't expect much from this movie. It's pretty dull and Atlas gets really annoying with her robot paranoia. You'll see...
