A team has to venture beyond our galaxy in an effort to try to save humanity.

I have been conflicted regarding this movie for years. I love science fiction. The cast is pretty impressive. But I fucking HATE MATT DAMON. But I was told that he dies, so I really wanted to see that. With all these factors I simply never got around to watching this movie until this recently passed tax season when my BFF suggested giving this a view. 

 

This is a common sci-fi trope. The Earth is on the verge of becoming uninhabitable. Disease is wiping out all of the grain crops, therein in destroying the food chain. When the last grain, CORN, is in danger of being the next die-off, a team of astronauts is dispatched to try to locate another world to settle. 

 

The movie is well-made and pretty clever. There are some twists and turns. Most importantly, Matt Damon dies in spectacular fashion. I am glad I finally got to watch it.
