Bad things happen when a toy monkey is found in the attic by twin brothers. 

Out from nowhere my friend selected this movie to watch. It's a new King horror comedy that I never heard of before. Okay! Why not? 

 

The movie starts off with a man trying desperately to return a toy monkey to a pawn show. The shop owner refuses. The monkey plays a note on his drum and the shop owner suffers a violent death. Next you have twin boys with a rough relationship between the two. They discover that same monkey in their father's belongings. 

 

That's less than the first couple minutes. 

 

The rest of the movie is about how that toy impacted the lives of the brothers. 

 

The movie is only around an hour and a half. It's pretty polished and well made, but there are a lot of problems with the story. I suppose that might be the King factor. Whatever that's needed to keep the plot moving along, forget logic.

 

I would call it okay. I am glad I didn't spend money to see it.
