Keeping in a vampire theme, I recently rented VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST. I had seen the first movie and found it entertaining so I wanted to see the new one.
The idea: a girl appears to be kidnapped by a vampire in some post apocalyptic world. The family hires a group of vampire hunters and D, a vampire / human hybrid, to rescue her. First one back with the girl gets the payday.
The rest of the movie is about the chase and the rivalry of the hunters.
Doesn't sound like much of a story, but there's plenty going on. Plus it's really well animated which makes it more fun to watch.
For the unusual concepts and animations it's worth watching, but the plot is also very compelling. A good one to rent or add to your animation collection!

I've always wanted to check this out. looks like it would stand out among some of the more mediocre anime. Check out "Princess Mononoke" and "Spirited Away" if you wanna see some pretty incredible and intriguing anime.
