So long dear Phantom

You may or may not know this, but the longest running show in history on Broadway in New York City is ending it's long and magnificent run in JUNE.

IN JUNE!

The show just hit the historic mark and they are immediately shutting it down, even though it fills the theater nightly. It makes no sense, but it's been the plan: become the longest running show in January, close down by summer.

Less than a year ago my wife and I went to our first show together ever and it was Phantom. We marvelled at how magnificent it was. How a stage can transform and so many wonderful things can be made to appear. We hoped we'd see it again someday. Now that the show is shutting down there's precious few shows left, and seats are scarce.

I hope to see it again, before it closes.
