In the beginning of 2009 I wanted to post my death pool picks. That's whena group of people get together and choose a selected number of people that they are willing to bet will die over teh course of the year. The first person who has a selection pass away takes the pot. My problem was that it would've been much less interesting because I thought it might be in bad taste to invite other bloggers to participate in this morbid game, so I passed on the bit. But I DO recall that I wanted to choose for female singer Britney Spears, because she was still a trainwreck back then, and for male I wanted to choose Michael Jackson. I can't remember the actors, but that's irrelevant at this point. Then when I heard the news that Michael died from cardiac arrest, I was shocked. Not that I would've lost out on teh pool money, but that I chose him as a long shot. Who would've expected it?
No use crying over spilled milk. But I will have news items reminding me of my clairvoyance as the investigation around Jackson's death continues.
In teh meantime, the radio stations are putting Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 songs on an endless loop. That reminded me of this cool cover by Alien Ant Farm:

As he came into the window
It was the sound of
A crescendo
He came into her apartment
He left the bloodstains on
The carpet
She was sitting at the table
He could see she was unable
So she ran into the bedroom
She was struck down, it was
Her doom
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie are you OK
Will you tell us that you're OK
There's a sign in the window
That he struck you - a crescendo Annie
He came into your apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
Then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom
Annie are you OK
You OK
Are you OK Annie
Annie are you OK
You OK
Are you OK Annie
Annie are you OK
You OK
Are you OK Annie
You've been hit by
You've been struck by -
A smooth criminal
So they came in through the outway
It was sunday - what a black day
I could feel your salutation
Sounding heartbeats -
Intimidations
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie
Annie, are you OK
You OK
Are you OK, Annie

Butlik jams the Alien ArtFarm version (more as a joke than anything).
If you're referring to Rotten dot com's dead pool, I joined in that little game back in 2005. Some guy that went by the handle "Killed By Death" kicked my ASS. It was probably Lemmy, lol.
That sounds like a fun jam!
I was thinking about contacting some friendly bloggers like you, Wil, Batbitch, and Steve, etc. and see if we can do something across the blogs, but I didn't want to get too involved in other's people's content, so let it be.
The Stern Show used to have a dead pool until someone actually WON it. I think it depressed them too much to carry on.
