Iconic rockers the Doobie Brothers will take a break from promotion of their new album World Gone Crazy to headline Songs Of Hope IV at Los Angeles' Esquire House Thursday Nov. 4, along with Kenny Loggins, Randy Newman, Carole Bayer Sager, K’naan and more. The concert and auction event benefits City Of Hope's support of research, treatment and education for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The Doobie Brothers will receive the organization's "American Heritage" honor during the event.
Later in the month, the Doobies will play the North Charleston (SC) Coliseum Nov. 14 to benefit Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides assistance to career musicians who are struggling financially due to illness, disability, or age-related problems. Grant recipients include recording artists, club and session musicians, composers & songwriters from across the country and all genres of music.
