Review Tuesday: The Invisible Plan by KidneyThieves

Photobucket

After being broken up for a bunch of years KIDNEYTHIEVES have been very productive lately. First with last year's Trypt0fanatic and now with The Invisible Plan. Impressive considering that they are officially down to two members: Free Dominguez and Bruce Somers.

How do you describe this band? Alternative? Rock? Metal? The best description I ever heard was "Static-X with a female singer" and it think it fits: EVIL DISCO! So you have a blend of hard rocking drums and guitars with layers of loops and pads and that driving beat that gets this music pumping. I am SO THERE!

This is considered an EP as it contains only five tracks.
1. Never and Me 4:00
2. The Invisible Plan 4:23
3. F 2the F 4:33
4. Floating Angels 4:25
5. Underneath 4:32
All tracks are well thought out, smart, well written and just plain GOOD. there are no weak tracks and it's terribly difficult to have to choose a favorite amongst them.

My only regret is that I couldn't talk Mrs. Bax0jayz into checking out the Kidneythieves acoustic show here in NYC just before New Year's Day.
