Review Tuesday: DAYBREAKERS (2010)

What would happen if the world becomes infected with the vampire strain? What will happen to the human race as it becomes a dwindling food source for new masters of the world? These are the thoughts behind DAYBREAKERS.

In an alternate world, the Earth is populated vampires and humans are a rare food source and one scientist is looking for an alternative. 

It's been over ten years since vampirism had spread across the planet. It wasn't condemned but embraced as you are made immortal, stronger, and free from the ravages of age and disease. But the cost is to hide from sunlight and drink blood for food. Logically, farming would present tremendous challenges to a civilization that cannot set foot into sunlight. Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke) is a scientist trying to find an alternative food source as the supplies are near rock bottom. 

The cast, action, special effects, and plot are all pretty impressive and makes for an unusual vampire movie. 98 minutes of fun. Worth watching.
