isYoung RC Plane, 2 Channel Remote Control Plane, 2.4GHz RC Airplane for Adult and Kids, Dragon Plane with 2 Batteries
For some reason, I have terrible luck with RC devices. I LOVE them, but I always seem to have trouble working them. Usually I am overly careful and don't get to let things loose! I am trying to break that trend with this guy. This is a radio control plane in the shape of e DRAGON. How cool is that?
The box is a good size. You open it to find a surprisingly LARGE 15.5 inch wingspan on this thing. 12.5 inches from nose to tail. It comes with a remote under the foam. There is a bag with one battery with USB charger, landing gear, two extra propellers and removal tool to service them. The other battery comes already loaded into the plane. The remote requires 3 AAA batteries to work. Stuck inside the box is the surprisingly brief instruction sheet.
The plane is practically weightless. However, when you handle it, it feels pretty tough. Even rubbery. So this is perfect for a beginner to learn some confidence with these devices.
The box states this is for level one radio control beginners. Perfect for me! I charged up the battery, the charging light shuts off when it's done, plugged it into the dragon. Closed the hatch. Snapped the landing gear in place. Put batteries in the remote. Brought it outside to test.
The controls really ARE easy to figure out. If you notice that it leans in one direct or the other, you can make adjustments ON THE FLY. It seems to respond to the controls very nicely. I kinda chickened out taking it out and really letting it stretch it's legs. Since I am a beginner I wanted to take off using the runway method, but my yard is too bumpy. Plus I was concerned about the range. No where on the box or instructions does it say! On the Amazon page is says the range is 500 feet, which is pretty impressive!
So I would call this a fun introduction into RC aircraft. Plus the dragon shape makes it even better! I plan on spending much more time playing with this when I can get to a bigger, more open area.
