The crew of the mining ship Thanatos has to deal with an ALIEN. 

Here we go again. Another film based on ALIEN. This time around we have am animated short film.As with most short films, this one doesn't have a whole lot of character development or exposition to slow it down.   

 

This starts off with Ashlin coming out of cryo to get to work. She notices that a coworker seems to be missing and figures he's just shirking his responsibilities. Turns out, no. Somehow some ALIEN eggs were on the ship and this guy got facehugged and there's a murderous ALIEN running around. It's your basic ALIEN trope: ALIEN gets loose then stalks and kills off the crew. 

 

I think this short film works as long as you don't think about it very long. By that, I mean that where did the egg pods come from? How do these things keep showing up? How do crews and ships keep vanishing before someone figures out that there is a parasitic ALIEN menace preying on them? If you just watch it for what it is, it's not bad.  The animation and voice talents are good too. Worth watching as it's only twenty minutes.
