My Vampire Plus-One
by Jenna Levine
An overworked CPA with an impossible client has her life turned upside down when she bumps into an intriguing stranger on the street who happens to be a vampire with warrants on his life.
Out from nowhere I had gotten an email from a friend I used to commute with. She was informing me of THIS BOOK, saying she thought it was amusing with an accountant dating a vampire. She remembered that I had a friend who was an author of paranormal erotica and the twist that I'm an accountant was a connection she thought I would appreciate.
So I bought the book and it was the first I'd read on the brand new Amazon Kindle Colorsoft that I got as a gift from my best friend for my birthday last month.
Okay, firstly it was fun opening up the Kindle and seeing the cover of the book in its full color glory on this new device.
The book is cute. It starts with Amelia, the overworked accountant, literally bumping into Reginald Cleaves, the vampire, on her way to a family dinner. What starts off as a chance encounter ends up turning into a practical joke on her family, and ultimately romance in true rom-com fashion.
The book is written is a very easy and smooth style. It's descriptive with lots of inner dialog, without being burdensome or annoying. It just flows at a nice rate that keeps you turning the pages. To give the book more suspense there is also an element of danger as Reggie is being pursued by a group of vampires looking to kill him.
Will love between human and vampire blossom? Will Reggie escape the clutches of The Collective? I recommend reading this book to find out the answers on your own.
