A woman looking for her sister brings her friends along into a horror story.

Recently my BFF said she wanted to watch this movie. I am pretty sure I had seen a trailer for it and it seemed interesting, so why not? 

 

Nina (Odessa A'Zion) is looking for her missing sister. She goes on a road-trip to try to track her down. The trail leads to some strange town tucked away in the middle of nowhere. That's when things go sideways. They are caught up in some time-loop that they have to survive until dawn in order to escape. The only problem is that they can't manage survival. They keep getting killed and re-spawning to to take another shot at it. The problem is that their attempts are limited, at which time they get absorbed into this crazy town and become part of it. 

 

I dunno. At once it seemed both original and familiar. How can that be? It was kinda interesting to see which new ways they would get murdered each reset, but then again, they were mostly not great people and I didn't care too much whether they survived or not. But they were definitely better people than the evil doctor who created this pit, so you really want to see HIM defeated. 

 

Oh, it seems it's based on a game. Since I don't play games that's meaningless to me. 

 

Not bad horror, worth watching if you can see it for free.
