Hmm.. if you are on a cellphone, her comment makes sense as she wont know if you have reached your office.
I wish you were right, but it was a client calling the office. She called my office and asked the person who picked up (me) if we were in. IF she wanted to cover up, she could've said, "I would like to drop off my tax papers, how late are you in," or something along those lines.
